Peter den Haan

Hi. Welcome to my little niche on the 'net.

Why are you reading this? You may know me as a JavaRanch bartender. If you don't know the 'ranch, check it out. It's one of the nicest Java hangouts on the web, with lots of resources for certification and much else besides. You'll find a lively community and a lot of knowledgeable people.

Perhaps you are interested in some of the things I wrote, about physics or (most likely) about Java.

There's also the ceilidh band I play in, Sup from the Saucer. If you have something to celebrate and fancy an evening of dance and song that's fun for everyone, have a look. I play in the worship bands of All Saints Allesley and Holy Trinity Coventry as well.

You may also have ended up here because you want to browse the old Enhanced IDE FAQ. It's been a fair while since it's last been updated, but it may still prove useful - you can find it on my old homepage here.

Professionally

I am currently volunteering for the Diocese of Coventry. And if you need a youthwork volunteer over the summer, feel free to drop me an e-mail! As of autumn 2005 I will start studying at Oxford University for ordained ministry in the Church of England.

Personally

My wife Inger has to share me with my books, CDs, my Fender Jazz bass, classical and steelstring guitars, and, of course, Jesus. We both love walking.
